ABOUT US
It all started with Paul’s older brother, Jan-Willem Wilten. His passion for horses was gigantic, and it wasn’t very long before their parents were captured by this passion as well. Jan Willem Wilten was a young guy with a lot of talent. Horses brought a lot of happiness to his life, ? delete or include more?
Paul had success at an international level of showing. He rode two European championships as a young rider. He was trained by? Mr. Piet Oothout and? Mr. Duiser while working at Paul Schockemöhle’s stables in Germany. This training provided him with a lot of knowledge and experience.
In Zwolle, Paul started his riding stables for jumping and dressage (Manege Wilten), which he made into a five-star riding school. He did this together with his family and the staff of Manege Wilten: Maryllia Beestman, Miranda van Olst, Awilda Vos, and Johan Boeve. After 25 years of having this riding school, the family had a dream of moving their business to a training, buying and selling sports horses, and breeding them. In Nieuwleusen, They found their dream place where they are now building for the future. Soon they are expecting the first foals.
Roy Wilten, Paul’s son, rode at an international level with pony’s as a junior and as a young rider, and earned a lot of experience in working as a rider in Spain, Canada and the USA. Roy made some nice contacts in the US, where he sold a young Gelding by Karlstad. This gelding showed up in the hunters competition of the Stadium Jumping in Wellington, Palm Beach, Florida, where Roy saw him when he was visiting. The new owners of the Karlstad are very pleased and happy with their fine horse. In the USA, Roy is sponsored by HFR (Int’L Horse Transport). In Holland Roy is sponsored by Ecochip Europe BV, which is owned by Cor Siero and Joke Appel.
Ann Dominique, Paul’s daughter, rides her own horses for pleasure and helps wherever she cn to make things work.
Manege Wilten will move on as Stal Wilten.
